Hua-Hsing Chinese School (HHCS) was founded in 1989 with the endorsement of Madame Chiang Kai-Shek, one of the most influential women of the 20th century. Hua-Hsing has exemplified Madame Chiang’s high values on the importance of education and culture awareness. We continue to strive for excellence each semester by maintaining a strong curriculum and hiring the best teachers. Since 1989, the school has become one of the most established and premiere Chinese schools in the state. Currently, Hua-Hsing is the largest Chinese school in Dallas, TX with an enrollment of over 1300 students from ethnic Chinese and non-Chinese background. The school stresses the significance of a diverse student body from all ethnicity because we acknowledge the importance of cultural diversity that strengthens mutual understanding and appreciation of various cultures.
Hua-Hsing offers multiple Chinese language courses for both native speakers in Traditional and Simplified forms. Chinese conversation classes are also available for adults and children to learn Chinese as a second language. Chinese calligraphy, painting, and other types or art are offered to promote the Chinese culture. In addition to teaching Chinese, Hua-Hsing caters outstanding programs in Math, English, and Hindi. Math classes are available starting at the Kindergarten level continuing to high school level math. English program provides phonics classes for age 4 to 6, creative thinking and writing classes for 1st to 6th grade, and SAT verbal and writing for 9th grade and up. Currently, Sunday classes are held at Jasper High School in Plano from 1:15 PM to 5:30 PM for the fall and spring semesters.
Hua-Hsing strongly believes that the school can contribute significantly to the cultural diversity in the Dallas area. HHCS is actively involved in activities and events in the Chinese community as well as in larger society to promote the understanding of Chinese heritage and culture.
